Hull City have an agreement in place with Bayer Leverkusen’s Gustavo Puerta, but are yet to agree with the Germans.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who report that Hull have cleared one hurdle in their pursuit of the central midfielder.
They report that the Championship side have taken the first step towards signing the 21-year-old, with him now agreeing to make the move to Hull.
The two parties have reached an agreement on personal terms and now hope to make further progress in negotiations with the German champions. There is no information on the deal Puerta has agreed at this moment in time.
There is still no ‘absolute clarity’ between the clubs on the potential transfer. A final decision has not yet been made on the ‘model’ of the transfer. In other words, the two clubs are yet to decide if Puerta will move permanently or on loan.
Both are still possible, and talks are in ‘full swing’. A solution had been expected to arrive last weekend but that did not happen.
Hull City now have an agreement with the player, though, so can fully turn their attention to finding an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen.
