There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Hull City attacker Abdülkadir Ömür could ‘quit football’ following his struggles this season.
The 25 year old was recently left out of the match day squad in the game against Leeds United and there have been claims Hull City could be looking to terminate his contract.
Fotospor today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Ömür following reports in the past few weeks he’s eyeing a return to the Super Lig.
There have been reports of interest from a number of clubs, but a transfer to Turkish giants Trabzonspor or Besiktas isn’t looking likely at this stage.
The Turkish media outlet say he’s burned his bridges with Trabzonspor following his departure from them last year, and with Besiktas still without a head coach they will not make a decision.
It’s reported the player’s agent is currently trying to find him a club in his home country, but so far without success.
Given his situation and Hull City’s stance with him, it’s claimed he could walk away from football if things don’t improve with his future.
Ömür has made 21 appearances for Hull City this season, but has yet to score. He’s contracted to the Championship side until June 2027.
