Abel Hernandez wants to return to Italy.

That’s how newspaper Tuttosport starts a story about the Hull City striker, as they’re pretty sure the player wants a move back to Serie A.

According to the outlet, there are quite a few clubs who would be happy to take the 27-year-old when the summer window comes.

As Hernandez’ contract with Hull City is expiring at the end of the season, the Italian sides would all be confident that he can be signed on a free deal.

Sampdoria would be one of the interested sides, and Genoa have recently joined them in the race by making an approach.

But it’s Bologna who are said to be closer on winning the battle for now. Although there are no big details on the contacts, the club are said to be rebuilding their offensive sector and Hernandez would be one of the players to arrive.

Tuttosport still claims that Hull City’s intention would be to renew Hernandez’ deal. But considering all these offers, and the player’s wish to leave, it seems very unlikely that the Tigers will succeed.
