According to a claim in the Swedish media Hull City midfielder Sebastian Larsson is close to signing a contract with AIK.

The Swede will be out of contract with Hull City at the end of this month, and has been linked with a return to his home country in recent weeks.

Expressen today report Larsson is in the final stage in talks with AIK and it’s now expected he will sign a two and half year contract with the Swedish club.

The Sweden international has been linked with AIK in recent weeks and it was always expected if he joined a club in the Allsvenskan it would be one from Stockholm.

Djurgården were also said to be interested in the midfielder.

It now seems Larsson’s short stay at Hull City is coming to an end, just 12 months after joining the Championship club.

There have been reports he’d been offered a contract extension by Hull City, but after spending his entire career in England it looks likely he’ll finally play in Sweden.
