While the transfer window has now closed for English clubs, the rest of Europe have the best part of a month to continue their business.
While that will leave some clubs worrying their best players can be poached away, it also gives them time to ship out players they don’t want.
That is something Hull City will be looking to do with midfielder Markus Henriksen.
The Swede is out of favour under manager Grant McCann, who has openly stated the player needs to find a new club.
Henriksen has been linked with several clubs around Europe, with Sporting one of those named by the English media.
It seems those reports were wide of the mark, though, with A Bola categorically ruling out a move to the Portuguese side this summer.
They say Henriksen is not on Sporting’s list of potential targets this summer and they are not looking at him to reinforce their side.
That seemingly rules out any move to Lisbon and leaves Hull and Henriksen having to look for alternative options to get him away from the club this summer.
