The agent of AZ midfielder Joris van Overeem has told the Dutch media his client would consider a move before the deadline tomorrow. The young Dutchman has been linked with a move to Hull City n this window.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Rob Witschge was asked about Van Overeem’s situation at AZ and whether he would be finding another club.
The former Ajax star said the 22-year-old isn’t getting the playing time he is seeking from AZ, even though the player is happy at the club. However, Witschge revealed if the right club comes in for Van Overeem then they will consider a move.
“George would particularly like to play football again. He has a good feeling at AZ, but would like to play more minutes. We’ll now see if an appropriate club want to conclude in this window,” said the player’s agent.
It’s been claimed by Voetbal international that AZ will be prepared to let the player go out on loan for the rest of the season, with Hull City keen to land the young midfielder. Hull City will face competition to sign Van Overeem from Greuther Fürth, Atalanta and Chievo Verona.
