There’s always something rather exciting about signing talents from South American, and Hull City could be on the verge of bringing one in.
Recent rule changes on work permits make it easier to obtain the necessary allowance to play in English football which has seen multiple clubs take advantage of the situation.
Hull City could be the next to do so, with journalist Cesar Luis Merlo reporting the Championship club are in advanced negotiations to sign Oscar Zambrano.
The 20-year-old has previously been linked with Bournemouth and Luton Town, with the Premier League making efforts to sign him.
That move ultimately failed and Ecuador’s Studio Football now report negotiations are in progress for the player to move to Hull City.
A midfielder, the youngster plays for LDU Quito and has represented Ecuador’s U20 side 14 times.
There’s no indication as yet of what the Championship club would be willing to pay for Zambrano, or even what LDU Quito are hoping to secure.
