Hull City are reportedly keen on making a bid for the Boavista winger Renato Santos.
According to Noticias ao Minuto this Monday, the Tigers have sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old in the league game against Sporting this weekend.
Despite Boavista’s loss, the ‘spies’ were left impressed with what they saw and told the club they should go for the player. Mike Phelan and Hull City will surely hope to make additions during the winter window and Renato Santos could be a value option.
Noticias ao Minuto doesn’t know how much Hull City will offer for Santos, but say that the bid should be made when the January market opens. A Bundesliga club is also said to be in the race.
Santos signed for Boavista in 2015 for free and had four goals and six assists in his debut season. He’s one of the many Portuguese talents who came from Sporting’s academy, having also played for Rio Ave, Moreirense, Aves and Tondela.
The player’s contract with Boavista only expires in 2018.
