Borussia Dortmund are unaware of any swap deal proposal from Chelsea for striker Erling Haaland and do not intend to sell him this summer anyway.
That’s according to BILD’s chief reporter Sven Westerschulze, who says the German side are adamant Haaland will be staying at the club.
The Norwegian has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer after another impressive season of goalscoring in the Bundesliga and Europe.
Chelsea are believed to be very keen, and reports in England have indicated that they will do anything to get him, including offering up to €175m.
A report in Germany this week indicated they had already made an offer of a swap deal for the striker, proposing that Callum Hudson Odoi and Tammy Abraham be part of the deal.
That same report stated Dortmund had rejected the proposal, but it seems there was never such an offer, with Westerschulze reporting that they ‘know nothing’ about such an exchange offer.
Their attitude it ‘already clear’ anyway; the striker will ‘neither be sold nor exchanged’ this summer and will remain at the club for this season.
That suggests whatever Chelsea offer, be it a considerable sum or transfer including players, they are unlikely to get Haaland at any point and may have to put their interest on hold until next summer when his release clause activates.
