One of the big question marks facing Barcelona in the coming weeks was whether or not Lionel Messi will be continuing next season.
The Argentine is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, and news of him potentially signing elsewhere was rather rife.
However, EPSN Argentina journalist Sebastían Pollo Vignolo, relayed by Mundo Deportivo, reported on Monday night that Barcelona fans can rest easy.
He ‘assured’ viewers that Messi ‘will continue’ with at the Camp Nou ‘for two more years’, and this is already ‘seen as a given’ by those in charge at the club.
And that’s not all, as Vignolo added the club would also ‘go for Neymar as a star signing’ this summer in order to play alongside the Argentine.
Those are rather bold claims, and we’ll have to wait and see if they are true, but if they are, that’s great news for Barcelona fans who were sweating at the thought of their first season without their superstar.
