Huddersfield Town are close on bringing Chris Willock back to the club this summer, according to reports today.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola says the Terriers are interested in signing him on a new loan from Benfica.
And as the Eagles are sorting the situation of a few of their players, they ‘should’ let him move to the Championship for one more season.
The Lisbon side are said to be working seriously on these outgoing transfers, and Willock’s move should be sorted in the coming days.
There’s no information on Huddersfield’s wish to have Willock on a permanent deal, or even to include a buying option in the agreement. He’s current valued by Transfermarkt at €900k.
The winger started the last season being loaned to West Browmich, and only joined Huddersfield in January. He quickly earned a starting place with the Terriers, having made 14 appearances and scoring two goals in his spell.
Willock’s contract with Benfica runs until 2022.
