Emre Can’s 10 day ultimatum to join Juventus is pretty much over and, as many will have expected, nothing has happened yet.

It was always unlikely the Turin club would really walk away and whilst there’s worry in Italy about interest from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, there’s nothing serious in the German or Spanish media about that.

For months the Italians have almost ruled out the chances of Can staying at Anfield, but Jurgen Klopp hasn’t publicly given up and an Anfield stay could be more likely than the Munich or Madrid route.

Despite that, Juventus would likely still regard themselves as favourites.

Tuttosport say the midfielder is ‘encircled’ with every effort being made on the transfer. The player’s entourage, Juve, and even Sami Khedira have tried to push things along to a conclusion.

These are ‘hot days’ for the Liverpool player, believe Tuttosport, and they claim it’s been a two year pursuit from Juventus. The Turin club wanted to pay €30m for Can last summer, but Liverpool, believing they’d get a renewal, knocked the offer back.
