Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz has spoken to the Turkish media about his future after reports of strong interest from Nottingham Forest and West Ham United.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League following his performances in last summer’s Euros, with Forest and the Hammers said to chasing the player.

Fotomac have covered comments he’s made TRT Spor when askedwhether he will leave the Super Lig champions this summer.

Yilmaz thanked Galatasaray for giving him the opportunity to play for them and helping to put him in the shop window. The Turkey international went on to say if the opportunity to play in Europe did arise then he hopes Gala will let him leave.

“I am here today thanks to Galatasaray. If there is transfer news, it is thanks to Galatasaray. It has a special place for me. Hopefully, my club will give the OK, I would love to play in Europe,” said the attacker.

Earlier this month we covered reports West Ham have recently made an approach after being linked with him last summer.

It’s also been claimed Nottingham Forest have already tabled an offer for the forward, but will need to increase their initial bid.

Yilmaz has made 32 league appearances for Gala this season, scoring 12 goals. He’s contracted to the Super Lig leaders until June 2027, but Cimbom may have a struggle to keep hold of him this summer.
