La Provence report on Monday that there could hopefully be a double presentation on Tuesday for Marseille, with both Florian Thavuin and Clinton N’Jie arriving at the club’s training grown and going through the motions.

Thauvin actually played for Marseille on Sunday, in a friendly against Palermo, and as such that one is more than nailed on. La Provence say N’Jie could present with Thauvin on Tuesday, but that would mean a deal was completed today, and they seem to think that’s quite possible.

N’Jie’s Tottenham exit has dragged on for weeks. Marseille manager Franck Passi was quoted at the weekend by Foot Sur 7 as saying: “The next arrivals? We must ask Gunter (Gunter Jacobs, the club’s new sporting director).

“But it is true that we work every day to try to close the files, not only Clinton Njie. The objective is to try to have a team ready before the end of this month.”

There’s no mention of Georges-Kévin N’Koudou, with Marseille certainly not counting on him for their own squad, and no firm step forward at Spurs. The last we reported was on Friday, when La Provence said the player was waiting in a London hotel.

Sport Witness were last week informed of rumours in French circles that a deal was wobbling, with those circles unsurprisingly blaming Tottenham Hotspur for that.

Hopefully for the player, the N’Jie completion sees a rapid N’Koudou completion too.
