On Monday, we covered yet another Matteo Darmian story, one that actually contained some interesting information, like Manchester United allegedly holding off for €20m while Juventus only wanted to spend €12m.
Well, there’s been an update in the negotiations, with both clubs talking throughout yesterday, and there’s a good feeling a compromise could be reached at around €15m.
This would be made up of the €12m up front offered by Juventus plus a series of bonuses to make up the extra €3m.
Corriere dello Sport are the ones reporting this, believing the transfer is nearly done, with ‘the truth’ to come soon.
It’s almost like we’ve heard this before, and, for some reason, we don’t believe them.
At least when it comes to timelines.
The rest might very well be true, and we’ll find out whenever the two clubs come to an agreement, which, in case you didn’t know, is meant to be ‘soon’.
Whatever that means during the transfer market.
