FC Midtjylland are set for an eventful end to the January window, thanks to Crystal Palace, reports Ekstra Bladet.

The Premier League club have set their eyes on Alexander Sorloth, and already made multiple offers for the big striker.

Crystal Palace initially submitted an offer of €5m plus a further €2m for the 22 year old, which was quickly knocked back by FC Midtjylland.

That only led to Roy Hodgson sanctioning a better offer, which Ekstra Bladet put at €10m, made up of a straight €5m fee and a further €5m in bonus payments.

FC Midtjylland have again rejected this offer.

Whilst €10m is a huge fee for a Danish club, they’re worried about so much of it being dependent on bonuses, so aren’t prepared to do business just yet.

However, Ekstra Bladet say FC Midtjylland will have their resolve severely tested should Crystal Palace return with an even better offer for the Norwegian international.

This one sounds possible, but Palace have to change the build-up of their offer quickly.
