Perhaps one of the more surprising transfers being talked about on Friday, Antonee Robinson’s move from Wigan to Milan seemed to be going smoothly until late on Friday.
Arriving in Italy to undergo his medical ahead of the loan move with an option to buy, the 22-year-old is meant to be the replacement for Ricardo Rodriguez, but there’s been a hiccup.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, ‘hitches have arisen in the last few minutes’, and the reason for that is regarding the ‘payment methods’ between Milan and Wigan.
That’s obviously not great news, especially with less than two hours left in the Italian transfer window, meaning the two clubs will have to act quickly if they want to get the deal over the line.
Robinson has since left Casa Milan, and will be impatiently waiting to hear if his rather surprising yet deserved transfer gets done.
Since the start of the season, he has made 30 appearances for Wigan, playing in every single game except the 1-0 loss to Stoke in the EFL Cup, and has scored one goal.
