Hirving Lozano is the kind of player who, despite having never moved to the Premier League, is a well-known name in the English rumour mill, as he’s often linked to clubs.
One of the sides who were said to be interested in him for years are Manchester United. The stories about this chase were even brought back this month, when an agent first said the forward could soon move to the Red Devils, with that being followed by other claims in the media.
It turns out, however, that there are people in Italy who don’t actually believe Lozano is about to move to the Premier League, especially to the Red Devils.
Those comments were made today at Radio CRC’s show Si Inflate la Rete. There, market operator Gianluca Fiorini had been talking about the success that Napoli and their players have recently been enjoying.
Speaking of Lozano, the official made it clear he doesn’t consider Manchester United to be one of the main contenders for his signing, bringing a couple of interesting arguments to that discussion.
“Lozano in the Premier League? For me he won’t, and it seems to me to be chatter. I doubt they go for players over the age of 25, also because Lozano has had a mixed performance. In my opinion De Laurentiis would be happy to get rid of Lozano from the moment Politano is there. I highly doubt Manchester United would be interested in him,” he said (via Napoli Magazine).
