Fotomac claim former Besiktas midfielder Manuel Fernandes has offered his cousin Edimilson Fernandes to the Turkish champions.

The former Everton player, who played at Besiktas for three and a half seasons, is trying to push a move for the West Ham United midfielder because he feels he isn’t getting enough chances with the Premier League club.

According to Fotomac, the Lokomotiv Moscow player spoke highly about Edimilson Fernandes, and reportedly said: “Edimilson is a brilliant player. He’s suffering at West Ham. He’s only 21-years old. He could be a real star for Besiktas.”

Edimilson Fernandes, who plays for the Switzerland national team, signed for West Ham from Sion at the start of the 2016/17 season. In his first season, the midfielder showed some promise and played 28 games for Slaven Bilic’s side in the Premier League.

However, this season he’s played just nine Premier League games and has missed almost three months of the campaign with an ankle injury.

The Swiss may have a decision to make in the summer about whether he remains with the London club or moves on.
