Manchester City star Ferran Torres says they would welcome Antoine Griezmann at the club, but he’s not sure if talks have been held.
The forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer, with the Catalan giants needing to sell some of their big-name players and reduce their wage bill to accommodate Lionel Messi’s renewal.
The French star is one they’re keen to get rid of and would represent a major sale, and reports have indicated that several big sides have expressed an interest.
Manchester City are reportedly among them as they hunt for a new striker this summer following Sergio Aguero’s move to Barcelona.
Reports have been conflicting about their interest, with some claiming that they are serious contenders and others making it clear that City have not been in touch and are unlikely to be either.
What really happens remains to be seen, but that didn’t stop MARCA from asking a current Manchester City player, Torres, what he thought about the potential move.
“He’s a great player,” he told them.
“Obviously, he’s at Barça; let’s see what can happen. I don’t know if Guardiola has spoken to him.
“City are one of the best teams in the world, and they want to have the best players to win everything. If he comes, fine; if not, we’ll keep working.”
