Italian journalist Enrico De Lellis on Wednesday had a chat with CMIT TV regarding several subjects, and Tottenham Hotspur got quite a few mentions in that conversation.
With Spurs doing well at the start of this season, the pundit first praised Antonio Conte for the job he’s done, claiming the manager has ‘found the square on the defence’.
But with the Italian media being the Italian media, there were obviously some market rumours to be talked about as well. One of them was regarding Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, who continues being linked to Spurs.
“Paratici has the dot of McKennie that has been following him for some time, he’s a good player,” De Lellis told CMIT TV.
De Lellis also talked a little about the future of Antonio Conte, who continues to be admired by European giants. The first quotes are about a potential return to Juventus, where he had a successful spell between 2011 and 2014.
“Juventus cannot afford certain figures and as far as I know, Conte would like to spend a few more years abroad before returning to Italy.”
It turns out that even though Juve may be out of the race, it was also said that other clubs such as Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain could end up being a threat to take him away from Tottenham.
“A chain related to Florentino Perez leads to José Mourinho, but in general there is a chain that thinks of Antonio Conte. Also look at Paris Saint Germain.”
