Fanatik report Besiktas will make an attempt to sign Daniel Sturridge from Liverpool.

According to Fanatik Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has made his mind up about his forward options and he’ll make the Liverpool outcast his prime target this summer.

Gunes and Orman reportedly met this weekend and the Besiktas manager is reported to have said something along the lines of: ‘Sturridge is a player that fits our game plan. If his terms are good for us, he’s our first choice forward.’

Sturridge only has 12 months left on his Liverpool contract and the player is likely to leave Anfield this summer.

The England international doesn’t seem to be in the long term plans of Jurgen Klopp and last season was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion for six months.

Besiktas fans are hoping to convince Sturridge to join their club and have launched a ‘Come to Besiktas’ campaign for the attacker.

After losing Cenk Tosun to Everton in January, Besiktas have made it a priority to sign a No.9 in this transfer window.
