FC Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup has shared his delight at getting a deal for West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott over the line this summer.

Trott has been with West Ham since 2016, joining them as a youngster before going on various loan deals away from the club to the likes of AFC Wimbledon, AS Nancy and then Vejle BK.
He’s been with the latter since August 2022, but that deal is coming to an end this month, when he will be returning to West Ham.
He, though, was convinced by Copenhagen after holding talks with them, something Neestrup was a part of. And he’s delighted to have secured the West Ham man too.
“We have known for a long time that we had to replace Kamil, and Nathan has some obviously great qualities. He is quick on the line, skilled in the field, has a great wingspan,” he said.
“He is also much better with his feet than many give him credit for – both in the long and short game. And then he is a fantastic sportsman who is competitive, and the references we have received from home and abroad are really good.
“I just think that we have presented a plan and an environment that he could see himself in. He has probably been able to earn more and less elsewhere, so I don’t think it’s about that.
“I think it is about the fact that we have presented an environment and a sporting plan and some challenges, both with the competition in the squad and the club’s ambitions, in which he has been able to see himself.”
