Reports from the Chilean media continue to say that Dario Osorio is about to be signed by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The latest updates on this case were last night brought by ESPN journalist Maks Cárdenas during the broadcast of La Roja’s friendly against Qatar.
There, it was said that despite the interest from other European sides, it’s really Wolves who are winning the race for the youngster, as they apparently already have an agreement with Universidad de Chile for the move.
“Osorio is ready, he’s sold and look what I’m going to tell you, one of the top three teams in Serie A came to me for Osorio, I cannot say which one, who went to see him against England in Murcia,” said Cárdenas (via Red Gol).
“But here between corridors I heard out there that he’s already sold to Wolves for €6m.”
The rumours between Wolves and Osório started back in June, and it was a strange story at the time. Even though it was already being said the winger was about to make a trip to England, the news was later dismissed with claims that the Molineux side knew nothing about him.
The rumour got more serious between July and August, with stories saying there was a ‘millionaire offer‘ and even an ‘agreement‘ for the move. Now even though the conversations weren’t fast enough for a summer transfer, the claims won’t go away.
