Liverpool’s offer for Darwin Nunez has already reached Benfica, according to the latest reports from Portugal.
The Reds’ efforts to land the striker have been covered on CMTV this evening, and giving some exclusive information, pundit Nuno Dias explained that the bid has arrived in Lisbon.
From the journalist’s words, the most interesting part is probably his claims regarding Darwin’s stance, as he points out the striker is ready to accept Liverpool’s offer to move to Anfield.
“I have the information that Benfica already have the bid. The bid is already at Luz, it’s indeed of 80m plus 20m, and the player would’ve already said he’d sign it tomorrow (if given the chance),” said Nuno Dias.
Darwin’s wish of joining Jurgen Klopp’s side has already been reported by the Portuguese media in the past few days, and was once again restated on Wednesday morning, when Record broke the news about Liverpool’s bid for him.
On CMTV, it was said that the Reds could include players in the offer to convince Benfica to accept it.
So far, however, there’s no information on the Eagles’ stance regarding the proposal.
Should the figures quotes be correct, and no other club offers more, then there’s surely a good chance of success for Liverpool.
