Over the past few weeks, there has been growing confidence in Chile that Dario Osorio will be heading to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Some even believe the deal is already done, but nothing official has been announced as of yet, and the winger continues to play for Club Universidad de Chile for now.
Whether that will be the case next year remains to be seen, but for Fernando Tapia, a journalist for Pauta de Juego, all this talk of a move to Wolves isn’t helping the 18-year-old.
Relayed by Bola VIP, he said: “The Osorio thing lately has not been so positive. It seems to me that his head is elsewhere and being in the forefront has affected him due to his imminent departure from the club at the end of the season.
“His performances have dipped. He’s received criticism. He is a young player who is just living with those first critics because at first, there was only deserved praise, because he is indeed a different player.”
The Wolves target is enjoying his first full season with the Chilean club, for whom he has scored six goals in 23 appearances during the current campaign.
That appears to have been enough to convince the Molineux side to make a move for him, although we’ll wait until the official confirmation to completely believe it.
First, Wolves need to find a manager following their decision to part ways with Bruno Lage.
