PSV Eindhoven defender Olivier Boscagli should be playing for a big club in the near future, after seeing a move to Brighton and Hove Albion collapse this summer.
That’s according to journalist Süleyman Öztürk, via FC Update, who believes the defender could even be playing for Manchester United.
Boscagli was linked with a move away from PSV throughout the summer transfer window, with Brighton particularly keen to secure his signature.
They showed a willingness to pay for him as part of their major summer rebuild but found PSV unwilling to do business.
That was despite Boscagli making it known, and publicly, that he wanted to join Brighton and move to the Premier League.
The transfer never ended up happening and he remained at PSV Eindhoven, where he will be a key player for them again this season.
He’s been impressing once again for them at the beginning of this season, even managing two assists in five games in the Eredivisie as PSV have won all five of their opening games.
Öztürk is a big fan of the 26-year-old and even believes he could be playing for a big Premier League side like Manchester United.
“Boscagli is so good. He should actually be in defence at Manchester United,” he said.
As it stands, his contract expires in June, so this is certainly a situation to keep an eye on.
