The Erling Braut Haaland transfer rumour has certainly had an interesting week.

With the German media covering Borussia Dortmund interest, and insisting the player has a €20m exit clause at Red Bull Salzburg, the hype has grown.

Manchester United had been the club linked most, yet there was a private jet trip last week which reportedly saw Haaland and his agent Mino Raiola fly for talks with both Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

Then on Friday there were claims of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having made a trip to speak to people close to the player. Following that, there were more positive claims in Norway about the young striker potentially moving to Old Trafford.

After Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Everton on Sunday, Norwegian newspaper VG managed to speak to Solskjaer.

The manager, who helped Haaland come through whilst in charge at Molde, didn’t want to comment on ‘speculation’, but what he did say is perhaps interesting.

When asked if he had any transfer advice for the player, Solskjaer said: “He knows what he wants to do, and he knows what to do, so I don’t have to give any advice to any players on other teams.”

VG reiterate the Manchester United manager travelled for talks on Friday.
