Trabzonspor vice president Hayrettin Hacisalihoglu has spoken to Bein Sports Turkey about the latest transfer developments at the Turkish club.
Hacisalihoglu was asked about the recent links with Watford’s Nordin Amrabat and he’s confirmed they aren’t interested in the player as covered by Fanatik: “Yes we are looking for a left winger. Our manager wants a player for that position but we haven’t made any approach to sign Amrabat.
“I saw the reports, I don’t know why this was published but I can confirm that we have no interest in signing Amrabat at the moment.”
We recently covered reports from Turkey that Amrabat is a target for Trabzonspor in this transfer window and the top flight Turkish club were looking to loan the Morocco international.
The 31 year old previously had a spell with fellow Turkish club Galatasaray a few seasons ago.
Amrabat joined Watford from Malaga in 2016 and made 44 Premier League appearances for the Hornets in the 18 months he was at the club. He was loaned out to Spanish side Leganes last season.
With under 12 months left on his contract Watford could be under pressure to sell the player this summer.
