Ruben Neves’ performance at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 1-0 win over Manchester United this week was the starting point for a series of new rumours on his future.

Several outlets in the English media claimed it’s now Manchester United who want to take him away from the Molineux, and that of course had big coverage everywhere.

Among the articles today featured by the Portuguese media, there’s one coming from newspaper Record. And besides talking about the Red Devils’ alleged interest, they also bring a take on Neves’ opinion on his future.

According to the outlet, the midfielder ‘doesn’t hide’ his ‘dream’ of playing the Champions League, and that would be ‘very hard’ to achieve while playing for Wolves. That’s said to be one of the reasons which could push him to go somewhere else.

Record also writes that Neves has a contract with Wolves running until 2024 and ‘doesn’t seem very interested in extending it’.

So even though the outlet doesn’t seem to know anything about Manchester United’s efforts to sign the 24-year-old, they do make it clear it wouldn’t take much to convince him to leave the Molineux.
