Last week, Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister’s father admitted Juventus are “huge” and one of the “most prestigious club” in the world.
The midfielder’s stay at The Amex beyond the winter market will depend a lot on him and the offers the Seagulls will receive.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say Juve have put the Brighton star on top of their target list after his father and entourage winked at them several times.
Massimiliano Allegri adores the 24-year-old and would like to have him ‘immediately’ at the Turin club to turn their season around. His fine displays at the World Cup have seen Atlético Madrid knock on the Premier League side’s door.
Apart from these clubs, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are in the picture to sign the Argentina international.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side, for now, have not received any offers nor have they set a price tag. They are in no hurry to sell and need the South American to help them finish in the top seven this season.
Brighton will need an offer they cannot refuse to sell Mac Allister in January. Should the Seagulls manage to retain him beyond this month, it’s stated it will be almost impossible for them to keep him for next season.
The new deal signed by the player in October [which runs until 2025] had given De Zerbi’s side hope to keep him until next summer. This was before Mac Allister excelled in Qatar, and if he were to ask to leave immediately in January, Gazzetta believe it would be ‘hard for Brighton to say no’.
