Joachim Andersen is one of the three most expensive signings in Lyon’s history and having failed to convince in his debut season in Ligue 1, the defender got a loan move to Fulham last summer.

The 24-year-old made his Cottagers debut against West Bromwich Albion in November and hasn’t missed a single Premier League match since then.

In the 24 league starts, the centre-back has managed a goal and an assist.

Le Progrès takes a look at six Lyon players who are currently out on loan. The signing of these players cost the French club around €84m.

With regards to the Denmark international, the report states he ‘looks happy’ at Craven Cottage, where the ‘setting suits him more’.

Scott Parker’s side don’t have an option to make the former Sampdoria man’s stay permanent.

Last December, the player himself admitted a decision on his future will be taken after this season and didn’t rule out the possibility of returning to Lyon.

Le Progrès now explain the Dane, as of today, is ‘likely to return’ to his parent club after his loan deal expires at Fulham.

If this report is to be believed, Parker and his side will be without Andersen next season, unless Fulham can reach a fresh agreement with Lyon.
