We all know the rumour mill never sleeps, and sometimes that means that some transfer stories show up way to soon.
That’s the case today with Sven Botman. The player may have joined Newcastle United just a few months ago, but his exit from the Magpies is already being commented by the Italian media.
The reason for it is that one of his agents was on Monday interviewed by Racio CRC.
It sounds inevitable that they would ask about the player’s future, and that’s what happened.
“Botman feels great at Newcastle, he’s one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League, but in football anything is possible when parts are available,” said Francesco Miniero (via Corriere Dello Sport).
“Today Botman is very happy where he is. As a Campanian, I’d like to close deals with Napoli.”
Covering the quotes, Corriere Dello Sport does even more to fuel up that story.
They claim that even though we’re far from the transfer window and Botman is doing pretty well for Newcastle, ‘anything can happen in football’, and that’s why the Serie A ‘remains a possible destination’ for the 23-year-old.
Botman has a contract with the Magpies running until 2027, and unless some Italian club show up with a huge amount of money, it’s hard to imagine the English side selling one of their biggest signings of this new management.
