Disappointed with his usage at RB Leipzig on loan, Liverpool decided to bring back Fabio Carvalho to Anfield in hope of finding him a club who would give him the minutes he needs.

A bit of searching around seems to have done the trick, as Hull City are close to announcing the arrival of the Portuguese player at the MKM Stadium, as stated directly by Acun Ilicali to Sports Digitale.

The quotes are brought to X by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who relayed them verbatim, with the Hull City owner making it clear they had won the race.

He said: “We have reached an agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Fábio Carvalho. We have added another excellent name to our squad that will take us to our goals. The transfer process was very difficult, but Carvalho, who had more than 15 offers, chose Hull. We are very happy. We’ve done a great job.”

While there was no indication in there about the nature of the deal struck by Hull City with Liverpool, another post by the journalist stated the Championship side have loaned the 21-year-old ‘until the end of the season’.

Not only that, but the midfielder has already travelled to undergo his medical with the Tigers in what is described as an ‘official visit’.

In short, Hull City are very close to announcing the arrival of Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool.
