The future of Alexandre Lacazette’s career is currently of great interest to the vast majority of the French media, to such an extent that Le10 Sport dedicated two whole pages to it in their monthly magazine.
Once again enjoying a very prolific season with Lyon across all competitions, the 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from southern France for a few seasons now, yet the general consensus is this could very well be his last.
While the Ligue 1 side would prefer for him to remain, they know they are likely to receive some hefty offers for their star man in the summer, including a potential one from Manchester City if Le10 are to be believed.
Pep Guardiola is said to be keeping tabs on Ligue 1 very closely this season, and the magazine state the Spanish manager has already been in touch about bringing Alexandre Lacazette to the Etihad this summer.
Of course, such a deal wouldn’t be cheap, and Le10 explain Lyon have decided they will not accept anything below €60m for Alexandre Lacazette.
Such a fee, of course, shouldn’t be a stumbling block for a team of Manchester City’s wealth, especially for a striker who has 28 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions this season, and who has scored more than 20 league goals in each of his last three campaigns with Lyon.
Whether Lacazette would want to play second fiddle to Sergio Agüero and fight for a starting spot with Gabriel Jesus and Kelechi Iheanacho, however, remains to be seen.
