Greek newspaper Sportime report AEK are interested in signing Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham ahead of the summer transfer window.
The French player was loaned out to Marseille by the Scottish giants during the winter transfer window, where he failed to impress, and it seems his future lies elsewhere, with AEK said to be making moves for him.
The Greek side are reportedly short of midfielders with Andre Simoes side-lined with injury and Nenad Kristicic looking to leave the club in order to return his native Serbia.
Ntcham looks to be an appealing target for AEK, but Sportime say it will still very difficult for the Greek side to complete the signing of the Celtic player, as they are wary of ‘better proposals’ from elsewhere.
After joining Marseille on a loan deal, Ntcham made just four Ligue 1 appearances, totalling 118 minutes.
Marseille has the option to make his move permanent but it’s unlikely that the French side will activate this.
Ntcham’s contract with Celtic will expire at the end of June 2022, which could result in them offloading him this summer.
