Greek website Sdna.Gr report Olympiacos could look to sign Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic this summer.
Olympiacos have already completed the signing of Miguel Angel Guerrero from Leganes and Sdna say they’ve now switched their attention to Liverpool attacker Markovic.
It’s been reported that Olympiacos have been offered a chance to sign Markovic and the Greek club’s officials are now ‘seriously considering’ the possibility of bringing him to Greece.
Markovic still has a year left on his current Liverpool contract but the Serbian is expected to leave the club before the transfer deadline, with Olympiacos seemingly a possible destination for the 24 year old.
Signed from Benfica for €25m, Markovic has been a huge disappointment for Liverpool, and during his time with the club he’s had loan spells at Fenerbahce, Sporting, Hull City and Anderlecht.
Markovic spent the second half of the season on loan at Anderlecht, playing seven games for the Belgian club.
Should Olympiacos present a reasonable deal to Liverpool then Jurgen Klopp and those in charge of transfers at Anfield will surely sanction a move.
