Greuther Fürth manager Damir Buric has told the German media they’ll miss Yosuke Ideguchi after he picked up a serious knee injury.

The Japanese international is on loan with the Bundesliga 2 side from Leeds United.

Speaking to Nordbayern, the Croatian coach was asked bout losing the Leeds United loanee to injury: “He has shown us a great attitude so far and we will miss him a lot.”

It was reported in Germany two days ago that Ideguchi had suffered a tear of the posterior cruciate ligament during last Sunday’s game against Dynamo Dresden.

The midfielder is currently on a season’s loan spell in Germany and Furth have the option to make the transfer permanent next summer, report Kicker. However, with this latest set back this could puts this in doubt with Ideguchi expected to be sidelined long term.

Ideguchi only signed for Leeds United in the last winter transfer window but has yet to make an appearance for the Championship side. A loan to Cultural Leonesa went very badly indeed, and everything was set up for things to work better this time around.
