Marina Granovskaia will on Saturday hold a transfer meeting to submitt offers for two players, according to claims coming from Italy.
Perhaps strangely, the meeting will be on France’s Côte d’Azur, rather than in Italy where all the action is happening. It’s not unusual for agents to meet club officials in the South of France, and it’s sometimes Monaco which is the chosen destination.
Calciomercato say the Chelsea official will meet with Juventus’ Fabio Paratici and make offers for two of the Turin club’s players, and possibly a third.
The Premier League club will put forward €90-100m for a double deal involving Gonzalo Higuain and Daniel Rugani. If they can’t get the Italian international defender then their second choice is Juve owned 24 year old centre back Mattia Caldara.
If it’s Caldara who is easier to sign then Chelsea will bring the offer down by €5-10m.
These amounts would be a little less than what has been reported in the Italian media this week.
Turin newspaper Tuttosport are also reporting Chelsea could turn their attention to Caldara.
