Manchester City and Manchester United have shown an interest in 15-year-old talent Mizak Asante.
For those that don’t know, Asante recently went viral on social media courtesy of a video of him scoring a superb solo goal.
The video sees young Mizak, who currently plays for Golden Kicks FC in the Ghanaian lower leagues, dribbling past five players before slotting past the goalkeeper in a clash against Mobile Phone People.
It’s seen the teenager, who is already considered something of a rising star in the country, earn plenty of attention on social media and back home to boot.
Not long after, there were the usual reports linking some of the biggest sides in Europe with his signature, including Manchester United.
Now his manager, who also happens to be his agent, has commented on the youngster and thrown Manchester City into the mix as well.
“We already showed footage of Mizak and some other boys at a number of clubs abroad, and we got a reaction from Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United and KRC Genk,” Voetbal Nieuws report Joseph Epton saying to Onua FM.
Now, whether either Manchester club actually comes calling for Asante remains to be seen, but the fact they’ve even responded to calls is a positive sign.
Perhaps when he gets a few more viral videos under his belt and a bit more experience as well, those calls will start going the other way.
