Liverpool look like they’re set for a turbulent summer with a number of their biggest stars coming to the end of their current contracts.
Decisions may be taken out of the hands of the Reds, and replacements could need to be found without transfer fees coming in.
Real Madrid are hovering like a vulture around Trent Alexander-Arnold. Despite repeated Spanish reports making it clear for years that whilst the player is respected at Los Blancos there’s been doubts about his defensive abilities, the chance of a cheap or free signing is too good to ignore.
Sunday’s edition of AS reported the 26-year-old is ‘good, nice and cheap’, which is seen as the ‘complete package’ for Real Madrid.
AS report both Alexander-Arnold and his agent are aware of interest from the Spanish club. There’s confidence that Real Madrid have the situation under control and should the Liverpool player receive interest from elsewhere, or make a firm decision, then they’ll be informed quickly by those representing him.
This story from AS states Real Madrid’s priority is a free transfer in the summer, rather than a move in January.
