It seems Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison has received some good news regarding his recent calf injury.

As reported by Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade, the forward underwent medical tests today, and it was diagnosed that the time for his recovery should be approaching two weeks.

That’d certainly be a blow for the player and Tottenham in most cases, however, since there was a big fear of a more serious problem, the news come as a relief.

Richarlison left Tottenham’s stadium in tears following the 2-0 win over Everton at the weekend. Interviewed by ESPN Brasil, he made it clear that he was afraid of missing the World Cup because of that injury, as he was in pain even walking out of the stadium.

Now in case he’s ready in two weeks, the player can still feature for Tottenham in a few more games before joining Brazil’s squad, as the national team debut in the World Cup against Serbia on the 24th of November.

Following his recent success with the yellow jersey, Richarlison is the main contender to be their starting centre-forward in the tournament.
