Over the past few weeks, Everton’s Amadou Onana has been regularly linked with a move to Barcelona.
Recent claims in the UK have stated Bayern Munich are in the picture to sign the midfielder in the summer.
This is relayed by Bild, via FCB Inside, who then provide their own take on the Bavarian club’s interest in the Everton star.
The Bundesliga side are looking to sign at least one defensive midfielder in the summer and the 22-year-old is included in their target list.
It’s claimed the Belgium international has been on their radar for a long time and they continue to monitor him. Bayern’s former officials, Hasan Salihamidžić and Marco Neppe, have already dealt with his case in the past.
The former Lille man is one of ‘top options’ for Bayern to bolster their midfield next season. He was in Germany for four years between 2017 and 2021 with 1899 Hoffenheim and Hamburg SV.
According to the report, the Everton player speaks German very well and this is seen as a ‘big advantage’ by those at Bayern. Taking this into account, it’s explained that he could be ‘good fit’ at the Allianz Arena.
Fussball News have also relayed this claim and state that this information was provided by journalist Christian Falk to Bild’s podcast, Bayern-Insider.
