This morning, Portuguese newspapers reported that ahead of a the national side’s game tomorrow, three players are stil out of training.
Until Thursday, Liverpool’s Diogo Jota and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ruben Neves didn’t have the physical condition to work with the squad, while Nelson Semedo was still to arrive, as he was called up late to replace Raphael Guerreiro.
Now as Mais Futebol brings an update on today’s training session, it seems that only Jurgen Klopp’s player continues being an issue for Portugal.
The website reports that Woves’ Neves and Semedo both managed to take part in the morning’s training session, while Jota still wasn’t seen on the pitch.
Portuguese manager Fernando Santos is soon holding a press conference where he should give updates on the situation of the Liverpool player, who isn’t expected to be ready to face Qatar in a friendly tomorrow.
Since he wasn’t cut from the squad, we can only guess he’ll be ready to play against Luxemburg on Tuesday.
If he’s not, then worry will grow at Liverpool.
