If there’s one thing few football fans, even Arsenal ones, will be able to disagree with, it’s that Tottenham were right to sign Heung-Min Son from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.

The South Korea international has been a great success at both White Hart Lane and Wembley, and will be one of the many members of Spurs’ squad to feature in the World Cup this summer.

Ahead of the international tournament, the 25-year-old had a chat with FIFA’s official website, where he discussed his career with his country so far, the tough group they have to face in Russia and, of course, how things are going at Tottenham.

On that last point, he said: “I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and the dream continues. I can’t believe I’m playing here. I really like London, it’s the most beautiful city in the world. I love going to the training centre and training with prodigious players.

“I love playing at Wembley and travelling. I relish every moment. Before going to sleep, I tell myself it’s just a dream. When I was a kid, I dreamed of playing in the Premier League. It’s incredible”.

Not only is the forward fulfilling his dream, he’s also become one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most dangerous weapons, as shown by his 18 goals and 10 assists this season.

Clearly improving since he first arrived, Son was very keen to thank the coaches at Tottenham, who helped him ‘go up a level compared to the Bundesliga’.

Next up for Spurs is West Brom away on Saturday, where a win could confirm their spot in the top four if Chelsea fail to win against Liverpool on Sunday.
