Facing Burnley on Monday night, all the focus at Tottenham is currently on that fixture.
Once that’s over with, José Mourinho, his staff and the players will turn their attention to Thursday’s matchup against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League, one the Premier League side will be expecting to win.
Most in Belgium know it will be difficult for the Jupiler Pro League side to come away with any points, even if they are at home, and that includes their left midfielder Simen Juklerød.
Normally a left-back, the Norwegian has been used further up the pitch this year, scoring three goals along the way, including an important one against Beerschot at the weekend.
Speaking after their game, the player was asked about Thursday’s fixture, and what he expects from it.
He initially joked, relayed by HLN: “That we will have a lot of possession and that Tottenham will clock out”.
On a more serious note, he added: “No, it will be very difficult, but at the same time also very nice to play against a really good team. It’s going to be fun. After all, they are only people. We will do our very best and see where we end up”.
That’s the right mentality, and we’ll see if it’s enough to cause an upset.
