De Telegraaf report that Erwin Mulder is on his way to sign a multi year contract with Swansea City.

The 28 year old has been playing for SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie since 2015, and has never played outside of Dutch football. De Telegraaf report that Swansea City will therefore see a huge rise in wages for the goalkeeper, and be a game changer for that side of his career.

When he moved to Heerenveen, Mulder negotiated that he’d be able to leave on a free transfer after two years, if a club came in for him, and that will make his financial package at Swansea even better.

Mulder got a flight on Thursday morning from Amsterdam to Cardiff, accompanied by his agent, and once he arrives he’ll directly travel to Swansea to complete his transfer.

The goalkeeper is well aware he’ll have to battle to get games for Swansea City, but is now happy to take that challenge on. Swansea tried to sign Mulder two years ago, but he chose to move to Heerenveen instead.
