Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac is facing an uncertain future at the Bundesliga club with just one year left on his contract.

Schalke have signed Chelsea’s Baba Rahman on loan, and that puts further doubt over his future at the club. AS Roma and West Ham are interested in signing the Bosnian international, reports Bild.

The Premier League club are hoping the competition for places at Schalke might force Kolasinac to leave the club.

Kolasinac’s agent, Gordon Stipic, and Schalke’s sporting director, Christian Heidel, recently had a meeting during the training camp in Mittersill in Austria. It appears the player doesn’t mind the competition, and is expected to stay at the club at least for now.

Bild say the possibility of leaving the club next summer on a free transfer, and subsequently earning more money, could be the reason for such a decision.

Stipic also confirmed to Bild they’ve received some offers for Kolasinac: “Yes, there are some offers for Sead.”

The 23-year-old has also been linked to Chelsea and Liverpool in the past by Bild.
