Sky Deutschland’s HSV reporter Jurek Rohrberg has certainly had a busy day.

First he shared the news that Pierre-Michel Lasogga to Leeds United had hit a problem of the paperwork variety. That was put down to a fault at Hamburg’s end, but it wasn’t thought to be anything overly serious.

Some German outlets hyped the situation up but there was never a suggestion Lasogga wouldn’t be moving to Leeds United, it was just a bump in the road.

Hamburg clearly weren’t happy with Rohrberg’s first description of the situation, and he then clarified things. That clarification still kept the issue as a ‘formality’, meaning a paper problem, but the blame was shifted to Leeds United rather than Hamburg.

Now, Jurek is probably relieved to be able to say ‘it’s perfekt’. ‘After much back and forth and a lot of paperwork’, Lasogga’s loan move to Leeds United is in place.

Assuming Rohrberg is right, then it’s now down to Leeds United to beat Hamburg to announcing it.
