Bild have an article about Liverpool and Bernd Leno which covers interest, but doesn’t really make any particularly concrete claims, despite how it’s already being presented around Europe.
The German newspaper go with a headline saying ‘What’s up with Leno and Liverpool?’, and state the Premier League club want the Bayer Leverkusen player.
It’s reported Jurgen Klopp is looking for a replacement for Loris Karius and the ‘Reds would have to put €25m on the table’. Bild believe a decision (which is probably Liverpool’s decision whether to make a move) should come before the World Cup.
Should Leno stay where he is, despite all the rumours of interest from various European clubs, then Bild believe he’s set for a difficult season at Bayer Leverkusen.
The German club have recently signed Lukas Hradecky from Eintracht Frankfurt and the Finnish international is set to be number one according to the claims.
Given that, a move for Leno looks likely and there may be some room for manoeuvre on that €25m figure, especially if this all drags on through the summer.
